• We may accept your current string instrument or bow as part of a trade-in or upgrade.

Photo-Based & In-Person Appraisal

• We can offer our opinion on your violin, viola, cello & bow based on high-res photo you provide to us. The fee for this service is $95 CAD plus tax. Please visit our Online Appraisal page and follow the instructions.

• In-person verbal appraisal is available for $95 CAD plus tax.

Written Insurance & Estate Appraisal

• Written insurance appraisals protect the value of your instruments. Insurance companies require written appraisals before they can insure your instruments. We have decades of historical data to accurately assess your instrument's value. Same-day services are available for travelling musicians.

Expert Restoration & Bow Rehair

• We offer world-class restorations of fine old violins, violas, and cellos, including violins by Antonio Stradivari, Joseph Guarneri, and Nicolo Amati.
• Bow rehairing services are available for professional-grade bows.

• Poesis is a rare provider in Canada for concert violins rentals. We provide both corporate and individual needs for fine rental violins, violas, and cellos, subject to background/credit checks.
